ETTV is a multi-faceted media company dedicated to
serve the Chinese community worldwide. Operating under EBC (Eastern
Broadcasting Co., Ltd.), and with its corporate headquarters located in Taipei,
Taiwan, it has become the leader among all media company brands in Taiwan,
acting as a public service paradigm of media outlets with its branded cable TV
channels, and websites. In 2003, ETTV topped NT$5.6 billion in its annual
revenues amongst all media and entertainment businesses both domestically as
well as internationally.
ETTV began channel syndications in the United States at the end of September 1997, providing top-quality programs and excellent services to the Chinese community nationwide. ETTV progressed into a highly-developed media operator, producing a high quality news channel followed by movie, drama, variety and children’s channels. This stepping stone grounded ETTV’s status, forming a solid strategic alliances with television stations in more than a dozen countries including Japan’s NHK, America’s CNN, Hong Kong’s Phoenix TV and signed sister-station agreements with more than 14 television stations throughout China. The company also began distributing BBC World, TV5, DW-TV, Australia’s ABC, Asia-Pacific, South Korea’s Arirang and Singapore’s Channels News Asian in Taiwan taking successful steps into the arena of international cooperation.
